A useful Bible gift starts with the reader. Before choosing the cover, find out which translation they use and whether they want the whole Bible or a New Testament.
Check the contents first
Our physical Black and White editions contain the complete New Testament only. They include Matthew through Revelation, but not the Old Testament. If the recipient expects Genesis, Psalms and the New Testament together, choose a different book that includes both Testaments.
Check their translation preference
Both physical editions use the English World English Bible. Someone who reads along with a church, class or study group may prefer the translation used there. Our KJV eBook is a separate digital product; it is not a physical KJV gift.
Choose a page color they can comfortably read
The Black Edition uses white text on black printed pages. The White Edition uses black text on white pages. Both have red lettering for Jesus’ words. Show the recipient a sample if possible, or use what you know about their reading preferences. A distinctive cover cannot tell you which page contrast they will prefer.
Choose the binding and budget
The matte hardcover costs $99 USD; the matte softcover costs $79 USD. Shipping is separate. Both contain 432 A5 pages. The hardcover has a rigid casewrap cover, while the softcover has a flexible perfect-bound cover.
Allow time for delivery
Use the destination-specific shipping estimate before buying for a birthday or other date. Leave room for delays rather than treating an estimate as a promise. Check the address carefully at checkout and read the delivery and returns information.
Make the choice specific to the reader
Once contents, translation and delivery work for your gift, compare the Black Edition and White Edition. The best choice is the one the recipient wants to open and read.
