A black cover does not tell you what the pages look like. If you are searching for a black paper Bible, start with a photograph or reading sample of the interior. The Black Edition has white text on black printed pages, with Jesus’ words in red.
Black pages or a black cover?
Many books described as black Bibles have a black cover and conventional white pages. Our Black Edition uses a dark printed background throughout the Scripture pages. The phrase ‘black paper Bible’ can also suggest paper dyed black through its thickness; our description refers to the printed page surface, not a claim that the paper stock is dyed black.
Read a page before choosing
The actual reading sample shows the two-column text, verse numbers and red lettering. On the product page, select Page 9 or Page 10 and use Enlarge page to read. Check a passage with narration as well as one with Jesus’ teaching so you can see both text colors.
A screen preview shows the layout, but the appearance of ink on paper depends on lighting and print production. Small trimming differences can occur between copies. Use the sample to judge the text size and layout rather than treating a rendered cover image as a photograph of your copy.

This is an English World English Bible New Testament: 27 books, 260 chapters and 432 pages. It does not contain the Old Testament. If you are buying it for someone else, check that the translation and New Testament-only contents match what they want.
